Yes Tony can be a pain - however if Jennifer had divorced the dreadful Brian years ago she would have had her own money and been able to offer Tony some help, however small. Just a thought - couldn't Brian have a mid life crisis and run off with Sabrina or Annabel!

Tony is right to counsel caution. Pat did not shower Sharon with compliments when she and John were together and should Rich turn out to be John's son a host of people are going to have to have counselling -marvellous

Anybody think that there is something about to happen to Tony? Lots of references to him being tired and overworked. I feel nervous for him!

We've certainly been getting lots of pointers. I remember the lead-up to when John was killed, we had Tony going on and on at him for ages about doing a job on the tractor - and we all know what happened next! On the other hand, all these references could be a complete bluff. I can't see the writers involving Pat and family in yet another big storyline, but you never know...

Yes - he's been wingeing about how cold and tired he is for the last couple of weeks - I thought that he was going to have a heart attack at Pat's party... something sad definitely in the air - such a shame as Pat beginning to look forward and not back...

I am worried about Tony. He is heading for the Green Burial Ground. Jennifer should definitely bid for Harry - a young fit man would do her good and she could start an affair with him to liven things up a bit

Strange how Pat picks up on every nuance when it's Helen who's feeling needy, but fails completely to notice her husband is practically dead on his feet.

I agree. Poor Tony. Sometimes I think that Pat, in her way, is as self-centred as daugher.

Tony is the most whinging moaning person I have ever heard. Every time I hear him it drops my spirits.

I agree - Tony whinges - it's like listening to Eeyore. He can't go on much longer. He's bound to collapse with a heart attack.

Is anyome else other than me becoming increasingly nervous lately whenever Tony is in a scene coming up to the closing signature tune?

Hmmm does the bell toll for Tony?

I sincerely hope not because I think deep down inside he's ok. Let's hope it's another member of their family who kops it.
Maybe Helen could meet with a nasty accident in the milking parlour?
Or choke on one of Henry's bits of lego (all kids have lego don't they?)

Or the ever irritating Tom 'my sausages are ace' Archer. Perhaps the sausage making machine will suck him in and make sausages out of him - that would be an interesting Tom Archer brand!

It seems Tony is in a rather impossible situation - Tom needs to be proactive about getting the new brand going, so he can't be expected to somehow pull down all his hours at the family farm, but they likely don't have the money to hire more help, either.

Tony isn't getting any younger, and the prospect of doing double-duty for the foreseeable future would put anyone's spirits in the gutter...Tom seems to be using his meetings, etc. as an excuse for shirking his portion of the work. What's Pat got going on all day? When Tony asked her for help last week, she blew him off!

They can't hire more help, They can't NOT go through with the relaunch, and they can't NOT get the milking done. Tom shows no signs of ever settling back into his milking routine, as he's tasted the freedom of going without. It might take something dramatic to happen to Tony to get everyone's attention.

Why doesn't Pat notice how tired Tony is and tell Tom to stop pushing him or do things himself - oh forgot it's selfish Tom we're talking about the sibling of selfish Helen!

Just listened to the Omnibus this morning and Tony still hasn't punched Tom, had a heart attack, vandalised Brian's car, had a breakdown, collapsed with exhaustion, disinherited Helen or gone running off to Leeds.

It's only a matter of time.
    Under Pressure......

has Tony always done the nervous stammering build up to saying yes - seemingly when someone is offering him something or being generous?
