Tasters 24-29th April 2011
As we all gear up for the royal wedding on Friday, there’s cause for celebration in Ambridge this week…
Jolene’s the life and soul of the party having enjoyed her time away. The Bull is festooned in bunting and, with the best of British cuisine on the menu, they’re set to have a right royal bash! Meanwhile Kenton gets cross as Jamie fails to tow the party line, while all Jamie wants to do is stay out late and party. However, the party is most definitely over for down-in-the-dumps-David who has yet to recover from that fateful New Year’s party at Lower Loxley…
Making Merry
Brian forms a small but enthusiastic welcoming committee as Jennifer and Phoebe head back to Home Farm. Is he simply celebrating the return of his beloved, or enjoying the fact he can hand over the responsibility of Ruiari? Meanwhile, after Keira nearly ruined George’s birthday, Will is in festive mood as he tries to make it up to his son. He also has plans to make merry with Nic. While we think it’s about time he let his hair down, we wonder if Nic feels the same…
Lynda dines out on her GQT triumph, Peggy has a pick-me-up, and Lilian has cause to celebrate (or does she?). So get ready to party, you’re all invited… It’s The Archers!
Will drops a bombshell on Thursday while on Friday everyone celebrates at The Bull, and further afield too…

Monday: Home coming
Tuesday: At low ebb
Wednesday: The truth will out
Thursday: Food for thought
Friday: Cause for celebration

Tasters 17th-22nd April 2011
Our favourite villagers get ready for an exciting event this week as the Gardener’s Question Time team heads to Ambridge…
Joe finds the book club about as exciting as watching grass grow, but he hangs in there with the hope of some free grub; as Joe will surely tell you, money doesn’t grow on trees you know. Will his plan be fruitful, or will the group discover he hasn’t read the book again? If so, he’ll have some digging to do!
Meanwhile, Vicky refuses to let the grass grow under her feet. With all the determination of a pernicious weed, Vicky seizes the opportunity to question expert gardeners with both (gardening gloved) hands.
Great oaks from little acorns grow
News of Roy’s resignation plants a seed in Lynda’s mind, fed by her ambition. Lynda’s pride also grows as she confidently looks forward to hearing herself aired on Gardener’s Question Time.
Finally feeling the growing pains of her new relationship, Jolene’s as sharp as a pair of secateurs this week. In a bid to please Kenton she has given up smoking, but is his nurturing enough to cultivate a healthier new Jolene?
They say absence makes the heart grow fonder, but Kathy and Jamie are growing further apart. His latest disappearance is giving Kathy cause for concern and her fears grow, as Jamie seems to be forgetting his roots. Can Fallon sow the seed of responsible living and weed out Jamie’s worst habits? Only time will tell, so meanwhile why not cultivate your best habit… It’s The Archers!
Don’t miss Gardener’s Question Time on Monday
Sunday: Peggy gets cooking
Monday: Vick won’t be stopped
Tuesday: Lynda looks ahead
Wednesday: Kathy has a visitor
Thursday: Clarrie tries to comfort
Friday: Fallon steps in
Green fingered: Lynda, Vicky
Caught red handed: Joe

Tasters 10-15th April 2011
Our favourite villagers embrace change this week as spring ushers in a fresh start, although some seem reluctant to let go of the past…
As Ed and Emma adjust to life with a new kid on the block, George struggles to adapt. Old resentments rise to the fore as a protective William looks on, impatient as ever. Meanwhile, the grandmothers are desperate to discover the baby’s new name; it’s novel but with a twist of tradition.
As good as new
Having shaken things up last week and desperate for a change of scene, Jamie is intent on staying at The Bull. Kathy and Jolene attempt a fresh start after their furious row, but can they really forget their old score? Old habits clearly die-hard with Jolene, but Kenton’s given her a new lease of life and she’s determined to turn over a new leaf.
Elsewhere, David faces a new problem, Elizabeth is ready for a new start, Caroline wishes things could stay the same, Lynda embraces a new challenge, and Daniel embarks on a new career. It’s all change… It’s The Archers!
Emma and Ed reveal the new name on Sunday and get your trainers on for the fun run on Thursday!
Sunday: What’s in a name?
Monday: New beginnings
Tuesday: Good news
Wednesday: Caught out
Thursday: Frustrated father
Friday: Going it alone
Pastures new: Kenton, Jolene, Roy, Jamie
Stick in the mud: William, George, Caroline, Kathy

Tasters 3rd-8th April 2011

As Brian struggles to balance work and home with Jennifer away, there’s not much rest for our villagers this week, so lets get down to business!
As a woman’s work is never done, Elizabeth calls in a man to help. Having worked his socks off at Lower Loxley, Roy is the only man for the job. Can Elizabeth make the deal sweet enough to tempt Roy to swap sides? It’s dirty work, but someone’s gotta do it!
All in a day’s work
Having claimed that work is for wimps, Jamie changes his mind and seeks employment at The Bull; anything to avoid going home. Judging by his attitude, Kathy certainly has her work cut out for her to keep Jamie on the straight and narrow. As far as she’s concerned, Jolene’s put yet another spanner in the works.
Meanwhile, everyone hopes Christine will keep up the good work as she coordinates the eagerly anticipated visit of Gardeners’ Question Time. Lynda’s ready to work herself into a lather over representatives for the parish council. Jim’s idea works like a charm, and the Grundy men are finally paid back for failing to observe their Lenten promise. Emma has her work cut out for her at George’s birthday but it’ll all work out in the end… It’s The Archers!
There’s a new girl in Ambridge on Wednesday
Sunday: The upper hand
Monday: News spreads
Tuesday: Growing pains
Wednesday: All systems go
Thursday: Fatherly pride
Friday: Temptation
Working wonders: Roy, Christine, Emma
